Research Interests:

My research focuses on understanding the process of change in couple therapy. Two of my current projects involve coding therapist and client behaviors during therapy sessions to examine what behaviors are associated with dropping out of therapy. I am also leading a team of undergraduate students to find out what couple communication processes look like for the 24 hours after attending a therapy session. I am also collaborating with several other researchers on a randomized controlled trial of Emotionally-Focused Couple Therapy in Spanish-Speaking countries.
