School of Family Life Scholarship

We are no longer accepting applications for the 2026-2027 academic year. Please check back again the first week of February 2027.

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial support to BYU students who are majoring in the School of Family Life or Family and Consumer Sciences Education.

Eligibility: (applicants must meet each of the below criteria to be considered for a scholarship)

You are a declared School of Family Life major (will be verified by department)
You have successfully completed at least one on-campus SFL course at BYU-Provo.

Application Deadlines/Instructions:

Applications need to be submitted by Friday, March 13, 2026 by 5:00 PM.

We recommend that you write your essays using word processing software (not in the application). When your responses are exactly the way you want them, copy and paste them into the application.
Once your application is complete, save a copy of the pdf using the Save As option before trying to print. Be sure you rename the file.
You MUST print your application in order to submit it.
Submit applications in the SFL Office in 2086 JFSB.

All applicants will be notified whether or not they were awarded a scholarship and the amount of that scholarship in May/June 2026 time frame.
